A Math assessment provides a snapshot of your current math skills to determine whether you are ready to enter your program of choice, or need some upgrading first. No one can pass or fail the assessment, it simply helps us figure out which course is the right fit for your skill level.
Choosing a Math Assessment
98色花堂 offers several options for completing a Math assessment. See the descriptions below to determine which option is best for you.
Option A: Assessment & Testing Centre
Choose this option if:
- You鈥檝e completed Math 10 but need a higher placement for your program.
- 驰辞耻鈥檙别 fairly confident in your math skills 鈥 even if it鈥檚 been a while, you think it would come back to you with a little review.
- 驰辞耻鈥檙别 comfortable completing an independent, computer-based assessment.
Note: Students registering for a Trades program(except Electrical or Fine Furniture) must take the Trades Math assessment
Option B: Access Assessment
Choose this option if:
- You have not completed Math 10.
- You鈥檇 benefit from individual, one-to-one support during your assessment.
Note: This assessment places up to grade 11 level only.
Option C: Community Learning Partnerships (CLP)
Choose this option if:
- You prefer to complete your assessment in a one-to-one, community-based setting.
- You want to assess through one of the following partners:
- Bridges for Women Society (Downtown & Westshore)
- Island Community Mental Health
- W瘫S脕NE膯 College
- Victoria Native Friendship Centre
- Malahat Nation Community
